class: Gentleman-Thief
somebody on reddit was asking about a class that scales somehow based on the stuff you've stolen. I think there is one but I can't remember where to find it so here's this.
GENTLEMAN-THIEF
Start with: A black cape, a rapier, a paramour in 1d6 towns
A: Ill-Gotten Gains
B: Lavish Lifestyle; Fencing Master
C: Polymath
D: Most Wanted
ILL-GOTTEN GAINS: Choose 2 skills from the Gentleman-Thief Skills table, or get 3 random ones. You have a +X bonus to rolls you make involving these skills, where X is the number of thousands of gold (in value) you have stolen (not found, not taken off a dead guy, we're talking burglary, robbery, or embezzlement). Additionally, you don't need to even roll for these skills if you have the right equipment, sufficient time, and you leave behind a calling-card that makes it clear you're the one who did it.
LAVISH LIFESTYLE: Each uniquely identifiable stolen item you brazenly carry or wear gives you +1 to your AC and gives you a 5% discount on carousing. Items of negligible value don't count.
FENCING MASTER: You know who, if anyone, will pay the best price for any item you hold in your hands. You also know whether they would pay a few coins, a small fortune, or a whole hell of a lot for it.
POLYMATH: Choose 2 more skills or 3 random ones.
MOST WANTED: If you haven't managed to have a bounty placed on you yet, you do now. When you escape capture, add your current bounty's value to your Ill-Gotten Gains value.
Gentleman-Thief Skills: 1 Wirework, 2 Shadow Puppetry, 3 Ventriloquism, 4 Mimicry, 5 Seduction, 6 Pretending To Be Helpless, 7 Making Someone Look Foolish With a Rapier, 8 Climbing, 9 Dramatic Exits, 10 Timing Your Monologue To Thunderclaps Or Other Uncanny Coincidences, 11 Horseback Riding, 12 Insulting People Without Them Realizing It, 13 Inspiring Young People, 14 Procuring An Antidote, 15 Hiding Objects, 16 Hiding People, 17 Jamming Mechanisms, 18 Getting Useful Information Out Of Cats, 19 Noticing Something Is Off, 20 Murder?
