The Only Sword A Struggler Can Use Against Death (GLAUGUST bonus post)

An unbelievable slight has been done unto me by the villain known as Phlox. He has thrown down the gauntlet, as if he thinks embodying the duelist is somehow part of the prompt. He correctly predicted that I would call my entry "Lutteur," despite not speaking any French. En garde!

Lutteur means "wrestler." I know exactly one thing about wrestling:

LUTTEUR

Start with: Portable wrestling ring (as tent), costume (see below), injury (see below).

COSTUME: You have a famous costume that identifies you as your wrestling persona. If you aren't wearing it, people will still recognize you as normal but they will usually not bring up your work because that's impolite.

FAME: Anyone who sees you wrestle holds Esprit for you. Anyone who holds Esprit for you will attend your Show Matches if they can.

SHOW MATCH: You can coordinate or participate in duels for show, called Show Matches. The stakes of these matches are basically looking cool. A match to settle a material debt or for actual honor isn't a Show Match, but a debt to settle an imagined material debt or fake honor is. Any NPC you challenge to a Show Match will agree to it if your crew can convince them they won't get seriously injured. You can injure them, and they can injure you, but it's not sportsmanlike and whoever does it loses all their fans. If you do it first, no one will believe your crew ever again.

INJURY: Pick your favorite injury table and roll on it once. No injury can outright prevent you from wrestling unless it kills you. This doesn't have to make sense. Also, you roll twice and pick one when you sustain an injury during a Show Match.

SCRIPTED PERFORMANCE: If you coordinate with your opponent before a Show Match you can script the performance. The opponent needs to contribute their part or the following doesn't work: Someone with your Esprit who views a scripted performance of yours loses the Esprit but believes whatever the point of the performance was. This can be just about anything, but you and your opponent have to stay in character as your wrestling personas (or your opponent's real self, if they don't have a persona) and you can't involve other participants.

TAG TEAM: Just kidding, you totally can. For each person you bring in, they get one too.

LEGACY: When you retire, someone who holds your Esprit can become a Lutteur banking on your fame. You can make a new character with this class who starts with no injuries.
